Star Track SRX-500 USB PVR

This is one of the latest Personal Video Recorder (PVR) by Star Track. The front panel display leaves nothing to say behind. The receiver comes in a stylish silver case. The front panel is equipped with seven buttons that are used to operate the box without remote control. There is also a four digit display on the front panel, indicating the onscreen channel number. There is also a USB slot place on the right side of the box.

The rear panel have all necessary connections. One may find there LNB input, LNB Output, TV scart connector, serial interface RS-232, Programmable 12 Volt Output and a power button for turning on and off the receiver completely. The manual supplied with the box is written briefly in English. The remote control will sit nicely in your hand and have all the command buttons. The remote control will work perfectly during operation.

When you will first switch on the SRX-500 USB PVR, it will show the main menu. Then come to the installation menu through remote control. The main menu displays various functions of the receiver. You start with customizing the receiver according to your personal preferences. There are various languages for Communication.

Once all the initial settings are finished, then you may go for channels search. It supports the DiSEqC 1.0 and 1.2 protocol. The SRX-500 USB PVR can receive ku-band as well as C-band signals, a number of pre-configured LoF settings are available, which can also be advised manually.

To search out all the FTA channels and scrambled channels available in particular satellite or transponders, including the new transponder, that are not programmed in your receiver but broadcasting by satellite provider. Then Press OK button on the remote control to start searching, while the related menu shows a details info of the scanning status.

Press OK button to select the satellite that you want to scan and your receiver can be installed by up to 4 satellites through a separated DiSEqC switch component. Setting each satellite port to be in accord to each DiSEqC Port. Then press Scan to start searching channels. 1234 TV and 527 Radio channels were found in seven minutes. The channel search menu is very clearly laid out and have very attractive design.

As soon as the scan is completed and the channel list is filled, the receiver lets you exit the menu and immediately switches to the first channel found. SRX-500 USB PVR has the capacity to store 5000 TV and Radio channels.

Press OK button on the remote control, the channel list will be displayed. Channels you want to watch most can be moved to one of the favorites lists and channels that are not suitable for children can be locked with a PIN, so that they will only appear on screen when unlocked with the PIN. You may record favorite TV Program to USB device and review it at any time in future. Before to record TV Program, connect hard disk to receiver and go to PVR Partition select Menu, choose disk Partition, where the recorded file is supposed be saved. Press info button to check details information when recording, such as recorded time, available free memory size etc. Recorded file will be saved in format of MPG. In PVR perview menu, Select recorded file and Press OK button to Perview. Press yellow button turn to full screen.

SRX-500 USB PVR is an elegant receiver. It perfectly fits into the living room and is the ideal receiver for whole family.
