Digital Telecom Black Box DVR

Have you ever dreamed of watching TV without paying the month rentals? Then Free to air receiver is the best option for you and in order to see those free to air channels you would require some basic equipment and the most important of them is the free to air receiver. There are various models available in the market catering to the several needs of the customer of Free to air channels. The Digital Telecom Black Box introduced by Digital Telecom is at the top of customers needs these days.

There are eight buttons on the front panel of the Black Box receiver. There is also a smart card slot on the front panel to insert the proper smart card into the slot. The rear panel is equipped with two scart connectors, serial port, programmable 12 volt output and RCA jacks. The remote control supplied with the box have all necessary buttons and will not disappoint you in use.

After turning on the Black Box for the first time, it is necessary to select a proper language for communication. English, Bulgarian, Italian, Turkish, Arabic, French, German, Russian and Persian languages are present for communication. Then the main menu will greet you. You can find eight sub menus in the main menu. If you already installed the satellite in the installation menu, you can search the channel easily in the Easy Installation. The receiver supports DiSEqC 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 protocol. When every thing is properly set up, the two signal bars graphs will indicate a good signal with green bars. At this point a channel scan can be started and this can be carried out in several different ways.

There are two ways for channel search, including Automatic and Manual Search. In Automatic Search, you can decide to scan one or more satellites at once, with fairly up-to-date transponder data. The same scan could be set to consider only FTA channels or ALL (FTA and scrambled) channels. 1123 TV and 632 Radio channels were searched in 10 minutes. It was a slow search, as we were expecting a fast search from Black Box.

If you know the PID value of the channel, you can setup the Manual Search. You can also rename a channel, delete it, lock or skip it and also change its PID value (you can only change the PID if it was entered manually). Channels can be also moved into the existing favourites lists and, once inside one of these lists, you'll be able to sort the channels in the same way as in the main list, plus edit, lock or skip them. Through a multipicture display, one can get 9 pictures on screen.

There is also a recording facility in the Black Box Receiver. Press the record button to start recording. You can record the channels internally to the memory in the receiver or to the external HDD through the USB 2.0 port. If you press PVR button, you can see the recorded channel list and time, memory space. The receiver has the capacity for 45 minutes live recording. This option is only available with LCD TV, but Digital Telecom has produced it for the first time in Black Box receiver.

If you want to upload the software by USB memory, then save the last version of software file into the USB memory. Connect the USB memory into the USB 2.0 slot on the receiver. After receiver roboot, the segment displays USB message. Then the software will be uploaded automatically. Remove the USB memory after finishing uploading. Use the USB memory after deleting the software file, especially for the PVR recording function.

The receiver can handle symbolrates starting at the rate of 1.45ms/sec. Reception of SCPC and MCPC signals is not a problem for Black Box. It switches automatically between PAL and NTSC. Pushing the OK button will display the channel list, while at the same time the current channel remains visible in a small window on the right side of the screen.

The Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) display channel numbers and information's, which is available by the manufacturer.

Every time you change channels, you will receive programme information for a few seconds. If you want to see the picture closer, just press the Zoom button to see the picture in detail. The receiver has elegant graphic 256-color user interface and standard high quality audio and video. Kids may be keeping away from adult channels via parental control function. The menus are easy to use. The manual is clear written in English and concise.
