TOPFIELD TF 4000 NA

Topfield has become a market leader from the last few years. It is the leading manufacturer of high end receivers. It has introduced its model TF 4000 NA to the market. This receiver will really fulfill the requirements of buyers. It is able to handle Nagravision smartcard and have all the typical features of TOPFIELD. All these achievements of Topfield is not the result of good marketing but because of their sales support service. In this way the buyer would not have to spend the extra money that would otherwise be needed for CA modules.

TF 4000 NA in small is size, but it still has enough room in its memory for 5000 channels of TV and radio programmes. There is no display on the front panel to show the current channel number, because of its size. There are three LED’s that show the receiver’s status. There are also two buttons for switching channels. The batteries in the remote control decide to quit. The Nagravision smart card is on the right side. The rear panel is very simply designed. There is only one scart connector. Video and analog stereo audio can be found on the set of three RCA Jacks. The IF is looped through. The serial interface does not accept transponder data. It is used only for the uploading of new receiver software. These software upgrades can be used only through internet or via satellite.

TF 4000 NA has two tuners. Menus are mostly the same. They are clear. The menus can communicate with the user in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic, Greek, Turkish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch and Russian. It is also true for audio and the subtitles. PAL, NTSC and the choices for TV. It does not care for the system connected. It can handle easily a single antenna, a multified antenna or a motorized system with a DiSEqC 1.2 motor. It can handle them all with out any problem. It also comes with a USALS protocol. The installation and every day operation is very easy. TF 4000 NA comes with 50 preprogrammed satellites. One may set the additional satellites manually. One may scan by four different methods. Manual, Automatic, Advanced and SMATV. Automatic scanning is used in most cases. The scan can be customized to look for FTA, FTA+CAS and network yes/no. It may find all channels of 80-transponder in five minutes. It may work with the SCPC signals with absolutely no problem. Manipulation of PID values is also possible. The video of the current channel is visible as an insert in nearly every menu page. Organization of all the newly found channels is handled by the edit function. You may place you favourite programmes in a separate list.

An Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) delivers detailed information of upcoming programmes. Those using a monitor or on older TV with this receiver would appreciate the built-in teletext decoder. With the help of parental lock function, the children can be locked out of unsuitable programmes. There are also video games that will keep you busy and you will never feel bore. The TF 4000 NA is a Topfield typical product. It has a simple menu and quick channel switching. You may enjoy the Nagravision channels along with the FTA channels. It can upload the current transponder data and digital audio output.
