SRT6155 is the smaller in brother of SRT 6155 receiver. It is a free to air (FTA) receiver, which is more attractive and slim line design. It has also a universal remote control for a TV, VCR, DVD player and two satellite receivers. This box has a variety of interchangeable front panels in different colors. The front panel contain three narrow button for standby and channel up/down, incase when the remote control is missing. The front of the four-digit LCD display can be selected according to ones personal taste. It comes with five different colors. This receiver is quite narrow. It is fully equipped on the rear panel an IF input with a looped through output for a second receiver, two scart connectors, a set of RCA Jacks for video and analogue stereo outputs, a UHF modulator out put. The IR sensor is yet another connector. The SRT 6155 can be hidden away out of view but can still be controlled even though the remote control does not have a direct view of the receiver.
The SRT 6155 is provided with 64 satellites. There are also 53 preprogrammed from the factory. The initial installation of the SRT 6155 is absolutely no problem. Not that it is even needed. The detailed user manual is written in three languages (English, German and French) and it makes for interesting reading. In the system set up the proper menu language is selected. The SRT 6155 comes with 16 languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, German, Turkish, Russian, Swedish, Slavic Dutch, Slovakian, Romanian, Hungarian, Polish, Czech and Bulgarian. Depending on the type of antenna in use, the LNB setup is simple. Even these unusual values are no problem for this receiver. This receiver may be used with multiple satellites. The SRT 6155 is better suited for use on a multified antenna or with a motorized antenna when a proper motor is installed. It takes six minutes for the scanning of an 80 transponder satellite. It is able to process PAL and NTSC signals starting at 2.0 Ms/sec. When all the channels have been found, then four favourites lists serve to handle the most popular ones. The channels can easily be moved, deleted, renamed or locked out. The more experienced user can enjoy the manual PID entry feature in the channel setup menu. Brief information on the channels programme, teletext and audio availability is provided on screen display. Transponder information and signal strength display is shown by twicely pushing of info button. It has the capacity to store 800 pages with the help of integrated teletext decoder as well as enough memory. The eight-event timer can be used for recording programmes on a VCR or as an alarm clock-one may directly programmed the timer for VCR from the EPG. Software upgrades are uploaded via the RS-232 serial interface. The strong can sort automatically by name, FTA, encrypted or by transponder. Channels can also be moved.
The strong SRT 6155 is an elegant compact receiver in a slim line design that not only looks good on the outside but also comes with numerious features on the inside. DiSEqC 1.0 and 1.1 for use with antennas such as the wave frontier and DiSEqC 1.2 for use on motorized antenna that have the correct type of motor. The digital audio and with its 4000 channels and 64 satellites is delivered by S/PDiF output. EPG can be used to directly programme the timers with the help of manual, one can easily understand what is going on. There are also three video games. There is also Remote-Eye as an optional accessory. The channel display lens on the front panel can be changed to match the decoration of the room.
